Photography is an art form. There is no doubt about that. But it is a special kind of art form. There is less focus on creation as compared to other art forms. In paintings and drawings, the image is literally born from nothing; created by an artist’s hands. In music, all the expression comes from the mind of the artist
from beginning to end.There may be inspiration drawn from nature or other artists but the art itself is created by the artist. Photography is different. Photographers do not create a subject, but rather take the natural world and frame it in such a way to express themselves. There are plenty of photographers who can manipulate nature to create their desired expressions. These are the people that photograph models and tell them how to pose and what to do in order to express a certain message.

My philosophy is that nothing can be better than nature. The natural world has had billions of years to perfect its craft and as artists, who are we to try to manipulate that?

Why not show the natural world as it was meant to be; natural. When I go to a photo shoot, I look for the moments in between poses; where real life exists. I don’t want you to “say cheese,” I want to document life, as it is, unadulterated and unmanipulated.

If you are looking for someone to bark orders at you and think of cute little poses for you to do, that’s not me. If you want someone to capture your
relationships, your products, or your events as they are, that’s me.
